Job Summary:

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail; Irrigation systems site in the County; Design and develop BQs for irrigation dams, pans and pipelines; Carry out identification of suitable irrigation sites in the County; Design feasibility test of irrigation water and soils; Calculate crop water requirements for various irrigated crops; Any other activity related to irrigation in the County

Qualifications:

For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have; -

• Served in the grade of Assistant Irrigation Engineer II or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service or Private sector for at least three [3] years;
• Bachelors of Science [BSc.] degree in any of the following fields: Agricultural engineering, Agricultural and Bio systems Engineering, Soil, water and Environmental Engineering, Environmental and Bio systems engineering, Bio mechanical and processing engineering, soil and water engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
• Certificate in Computer Application Skills from recognized institution
