Mandatory Requirements

Person Specifications For appointment to this grade an officer must have:

• Cumulative service period of Twelve (12) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Principal Supply Chain Management Officer or in a comparable position;
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Purchasing and Supplies Management, Procurement and Supplies Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce (Supplies Management Option), Business Administration (Supplies Management option) or related field from a recognized and institution;
• Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration (Supplies Chain Management Option), Commerce (Supply Chain Management Option) or related field from a recognized institution; (iv) Relevant technical and professional certification from a recognized institution;
• A member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or Chartered Institute of Supplies and in good standing;
• Leadership course certificate lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognised institution;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
