Assistant Restaurant Supervisor at Nexus Staffing Solutions

A growing hospitality establishment in Kileleshwa, Nairobi is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Supervisor to support the Supervisor and management team in coordinating daily restaurant operations.

The successful candidate will play a hands-on role in supporting staff, maintaining service standards and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising restaurant staff during daily operations. 
• Support coordination between the service and kitchen teams. 
• Ensure customers receive friendly and efficient service. 
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming and conduct. 
• Assist with managing customer complaints and service concerns. 
• Support restaurant cleanliness, hygiene and general presentation. 
• Help monitor stock levels and report shortages. 
• Assist with opening and closing procedures. 
• Support implementation of operational procedures and service standards. 
• Monitor service flow and help resolve operational challenges. 
• Support the Supervisor in assigning duties and coordinating staff. 
• Assist in monitoring employee performance and discipline. 
• Escalate operational and customer-service issues to the Supervisor. 
• Step in for the Supervisor when required. 

Candidate Profile

• Have previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, food-service or hospitality environment. 
• Have good customer-service and communication skills. 
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 
• Demonstrate leadership potential and the ability to work effectively with a team. 
• Be organised, reliable and hands-on. 
• Be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays where required. 
• Have a positive attitude towards customers and colleagues.
