    Assistant Restaurant Supervisor

    Job Location: Karen,Nairobi

    Salary: Ksh35k

    Job Summary

    Our client is looking for Assistant Restaurant Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant as well as provide strategic direction. You will plan and supervise the workforce to ensure the smooth and profitable running of the business.

    Requirements:

    1. Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management or relevant hospitality training.
    2. Minimum 3 years proven experience as Hotel supervisor/manager or relevant role.
    3. Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations and products, basic drink service and supervisory knowledge.
    4. Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
    5. Ability to handle uncertainty. (Innovative)
    6. Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
    7. Ability to work cohesively as part of a team. (Teamwork spirit)
    8. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
    9. i)        Must have worked in a coffee house.
    10. j)        commercial awareness and flexibility.
    11. k)       Marketing skills and customer-oriented.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Review customer surveys to develop and implement ways to improve customer service.
    2. Resolving customers' complaints in a professional manner.
    3. Supervising ensure that all facility standards and steps of service are met through all guests interactions.
    4. Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
    5. Interact positively with customers promoting restaurant facilities and services, answer telephones in a clear manner, coordinate and document reservations. Organize special events in the facility such as receptions, parties, etc. Maintain rapport with all departments and attend relevant meetings.
    6. Trains new staff and provide recurrent training for existing staff.
    7. Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary, also complete performance evaluations in a timely manner.
    8. Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards.
    9. Provide leadership and direction for all hotel staff to ensure the highest level of customer service.
    10. Control facility inventory system, cashier transactions, and department coordination on a daily basis.
    11. Organize and conduct work schedules and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as customer requests and menu changes.
    12. Improve on day-to-day performances that help in achieving organizational goals and targets.
    13. Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
