1. Packhouse plans for labour, materials and machines to achieve the daily, weekly, monthly and annual packing targets within the agreed cost. Packhouse budget, including inbound logistics.
2. Liaison plan with the commercial team to ensure orders and sales/demand plans are received on time and providing appropriate feedback on time.
3.  Liaison plan with the produce sourcing team to ensure raw produce is received on time and being of acceptable quality and within agreed quantity range.
4.  Packhouse performance targets and KPIs including kgs per person per day; SKU cost per kg for all product lines and packing machines efficiency.
5.  Packhouse budget including packing and processing, quality assurance, inbound logistics and maintenance and servicing.
6.  Quality Assurance and QMS strategy in liaison with the QA Officer, Compliance Officer and MD.
7.  Performance targets and evaluating performance of subordinates in accordance with company policy.
8.  Any other duty as will be assigned periodically

Knowledge and Experience

1.  Diploma or degree in Food Sciences, Agribusiness, Agriculture or a related subject
2.  At least 5 years’ experience in the Horticultural sector, managing Packhouses – people, machinery, products, and budget. Knowledge of standards including BRC and Food Safety Systems. Knowledge of packing fruits such as avocados is an added advantage. Demonstrated success in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and/or other disciplines focused on driving operational efficiencies, waste reduction, and habitual excellence.
3.  Ability to demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
4.  Specific experience in fruit specifically Avocado, mango, and or pineapple is mandatory.
5.  Good computer skills with advance Excel and Word
