    Body Shop Manager

    We are seeking to recruit a qualified, passionate and self-driven candidate to fill the vacant position of Body Shop Manager, reporting to the Aftersales Manager, and based in Nairobi.

    The purpose of the role is to effectively and efficiently manage the Body and Paint business unit operations to ensure timely delivery of quality service to customers, compliance with safety  guidelines and the company policies and guidelines.

    The manager is responsible for the management of Body & Paint service team for enhanced motivation and performance towards achievement of CFAO Motors Kenya (CMK) business strategy.

    Main responsibilities for the role include;

    Managerial/Supervisory

    • Implement body and paint operational strategies to achieve set targets through continuous progress monitoring
    • Prepare and implement the Body & Paint budget to ensure efficiency in the utilization of funds allocated.
    • Supervise the Body & Paint team to ensure a motivated and high performing team in the delivery of quality and timely service to the customers
    • Track and analyze key performance indicators to achieve set performance targets and provide countermeasures to close any gaps.
    • Build healthy relationships with other departments in the company through communication and exchange of ideas to ensure smooth interdepartmental operations
    • Mentor and coach Service staff and recommend appropriate training courses to improve their skills and competencies.

    Operational Responsibilities 

    • Oversee operations of the workshop to obtain maximum utilization of automotive equipment and prevent operational delays in the Body & Paint business unit.
    • Monitor daily Body & Paint sales to ensure performance is on track as per set targets and introduce action plans as appropriate.
    • Provide a safe and conducive working environment in line with the Kaizen guidelines to eliminate risks associated with noncompliance with safety regulations.
    • Review workflows to increase the productivity of the Service team
    • Study the Voice of customer (VOC) report to understand and enhance customer satisfaction levels.
    • In collaboration with the marketing team, implement marketing activities relating to services available to grow sales and create awareness
    • Report on the performance of the Body & Paint across the brands, detailing gaps and possible solutions, to ensure all the brands represented in the branch are well informed on the performance.
    • Continuous review of Body & Paint processes and people skills to ensure highest quality of customer service delivery
    • Keep abreast of evolving/new Body & Paint technology in the market with a view to ensuring CMK is using the most cost effective & efficient methods and equipment/tooling in service delivery.

    Minimum qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Experience

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering or related field from a recognized university.
    • 10 years’ experience in a motor vehicle workshop with at least 5 years in a supervisory position.
