Business Analyst - Food & Agriculture at Equity Bank Kenya

Job Purpose: 

The purpose of the job is to conduct preliminary review and packaging of SME and Corporate F&A credit files to ensure compliance and appraisal completeness prior to presentation to credit risk department.

Key Responsiilities:

• Preparation and analysis of F&A credit proposals for presentation to EXCO
• Present F&A business cases to credit risk and on need basis in credit committees
• Take part in development of F&A risk policy
• Develop and continuously review F&A business template
• Create, maintain and review F&A client profiling criteria
• Develop F&A business review matrices for various value chains
• Advise on F&A industry trends and subsector business mix
• Continually review Food & Agriculture business portfolio and conduct stress testing based on prevailing and emerging industry risk factors.
• Develop and keep updated F&A environmental and Social compliance policy

Qualifications

Desired academic & professional qualifications.

• Bachelors degree
• 5 to 8 years experience
• Review and understand clients' financial requirements and package appropriate credit proposals.
• Analyse financial statements presented by customers and summarize them into the F&A's standard appraisa templates/systems.
• Analyse various industries and macro environmental factors as they relate to clients' requests under review.
• Identify SME and Corporate capacity gaps in the bank staff, train, mentor and coach them for better performance.
• Continuously analyse the industry and macro-environmental factors and keep updated F&A analysis toolkit.
