Senior Technical Advisor Nutrition at CARE

Responsibilities

• Leadership and support to CASCADE programming across 6 countries (30%)
• Provision of technical backstopping to CASCADE country teams (50%)
• Other activities as needed within FWS Nutrition Unit (20%)

Qualifications

• Fluent oral and written English required
• At least 7 yrs. experience in implementing multi-sectoral nutrition programming including field experience in developing country contexts or within an international development organization
• Demonstrated experience providing technical and programmatic support in nutrition and/or nutrition advocacy
• Experience in designing and implementing highly effective and efficient nutrition programs - Inclusive and adaptive leadership skills; creativity; and innovative mindset Interpersonal and inter-cultural communications skills, with the ability to communicate knowledge in a manner appropriate to diverse audiences
• Proven ability to work in partnership with other professionals, and to support learning and sharing of lessons and best practices
• Demonstrated abilities in strategic planning, management, and oversight of complex technical initiatives
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Master's degree or higher in related field (nutrition, international development or other) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
