    CDE Team Leader

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    
    Manage cooler maintenance

    • Manage execution of the maintenance and repairs.
    • Plan for regular maintenance of coolers to ensure a high reliability.
    • Coolers maintained as per schedule
    • Ensure good housekeeping of the workshop for cleanliness and a safe working environment                                                  
    • Assist Cooler Mechanics with breakdown repairs and troubleshooting of faults
    • Ensure all equipment is operated at its optimum                
    • Ensure effective administrative processes
    • Adhere to necessary legal requirements i.e. CFC's and SHEQ
    • Ensure KPI's are met
    • Manage the master data on SAP.
    • Ensure that all Job cards are signed off on completion and the transaction completed in SAP.
    • Ensure that the 5WHY process is understood by Technicians and implemented for all Cooler breakdowns. Basic problem solving techniques
    • Manage Budget

    Monitor expenses

    • Control COE's
    • Report on deviations
    • Spare parts management.
    • Provides input and support to the department’s Budget Planning Process
    • Manage people

    Ongoing, informal performance monitoring, feedback and coaching provided daily or as required.      

    • Leave schedules and processes conducted according to policy
    • Analyse Previous Maintenance Work
    • Staff development
    • Training needs identified for all staffDevelopment plans agreed and included in People Plan
    • Development plans include on the job coaching, projects, self-study etc. and if necessary formal training        

    Team Management :

    • Team mission, vision and goals communicated to all team members
    • Motivation and morale levels of all staff members high
    • Team KPI’s measured regularly, communicated to team and if necessary, corrective action taken.           
    • Ensure good employee relations
    • Lead the implementation and execution of the ‘Supply Chain ways” through morning team meetings, toolbox discussions and attending level 2 meetings.                                                  

    Skills, Experience & Education    

    Experience

    • 5 years experience in Technical, Workshop or Engineering operation.
    • Maintenance planning knowledge will be an added advantage.
    • Leadership skills preferably with on job experience
    • SAP systems experience and knowledge will be added advantage.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
