    Chief Finance Officer

    • Our client, Northern Rangelands Trust(NRT) is seeking to recruit for the role of Chief Finance Officer to provide strategic leadership and manage all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring the organization's financial health and both regulatory and donor compliance.

    MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Financial Sustainability & Strategic Management
    • Lead the organization's financial sustainability strategy and oversee treasury and drive the overall financial strategy with the Board.
    • Budgeting and Planning
    • Prepare and verify annual budgets with the Trust's Management Team; provide guidance on planning and implementation of budgets.
    • Financial Reporting and Accounting
    • Create regular financial operational risk and compliance reports and Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports, including cash flow reports.
    • Audits and Financial Security
    • Maintain financial security by strictly following internal controls and work closely with auditors, investors, and donors to complete necessary audits.
    • Leadership and Development
    • Provide leadership, coaching, mentorship, and career development opportunities to direct reporting staff within the Finance Department.
    • Collaboration
    • Ensure collaboration with other departments within the Trust to efficiently manage operations.
    • Investor and Partner Engagement
    • Model and present business and social investment opportunities to various audiences, including investors, donors, and partners.
    • Data Analysis
    • Provide insightful analysis to support organizational decisions, cost control, and performance improvement. Use data-driven insights to optimize operational efficiency and resource allocation.
    • A certificate of good conduct from the National Police Service
    • EACC Clearance
    • Credit Reference Bureau Clearance
    • HELB Compliance
    • KRA Tax Compliance

    KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Master's degree in business administration specializing in Finance or Accounting.
    • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Administration, Business Management or other relevant field from a recognized university in Kenya.
    • A Full CPA/ACCA qualification and a member of ICPAK in good standing.
    • Proven experience of 10+ years in finance operations at senior management level/leadership in a Not-For-Profit Organisation.
