Chief Superintending Engineer - Agriculture at Nakuru County Government

Requirements for Appointment

• Served in the grade of Senior Superintending Engineer (Agriculture) for a minimum period of three (3) years; 
• Bachelors’ Degree in the field of Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, Environmental and Biosystems Engineering or anyother relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Master’s Degree in the following fields; - Agricultural Engineering such as soil and water, Mechanization/Farm Power, Environmental Management, Soil and Water Management, Project Planning and management or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks or its’ equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Must be registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya;
• Must be proficient in Computer Applications; 
• Must have demonstrated a high degree of professional and technical competence; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities;

• The officer will coordinate and supervise all the administrative and professional activities within the Agricultural Engineering Services department. 
• Specific duties will include: - planning, preparation of various projects and programmes including mechanization, agro-processing or major structures in soil and water engineering; and designing and executing the training program for the technical staff.
