Cognitive Field Interviewers- Kilifi at Flexi-Personnel

Duties and Responsibilities

• Uphold ethical standards by obtaining and documenting informed consent/assent from study participants prior to the interviews.
• Conduct cognitive interviews with respondents.
• Observe and record how respondents interpret and respond to questions
• Document insights, issues and feedback to support tool refinement
• Transcribe the audio recordings
• Populate the data analysis framework.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Sociology, or related disciplines within the social sciences.
• Must be a resident of one of the counties of focus: Kilifi
• Proficiency in both Swahili and English; knowledge of local languages spoken in study locations an added advantage.
• Previous experience in conducting cognitive interviews or interviews with adolescents is an added advantage.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Swahili.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with electronic data collection.
• Must be available full-time during the training and data collection period.
