    Community Engagement Coordinator

    Role Summary

    • The Community Engagement Coordinator will lead efforts to foster meaningful relationships with the community, ensuring active participation and inclusivity in the project. This role will involve designing and implementing engagement strategies that incorporate traditional knowledge and address community needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive community engagement plan.
    • Facilitate regular meetings with the Community Advisory Group (CAB).
    • Act as the primary liaison between the project team and community members.
    • Promote inclusivity by engaging women, youth, and vulnerable groups in project activities.
    • Collect and incorporate traditional knowledge into the project’s design and implementation.
    • Organize and lead community workshops, focus groups, and feedback sessions.
    • Address community concerns and grievances promptly and effectively.
    • Collaborate with the Research Assistants to ensure community input is reflected in project outcomes.
    • Develop research protocols, tools, and supporting documents.
    • Mobilize and coordinate community meetings, ensuring inclusive participation.
    • Develop culturally sensitive communication materials to raise awareness about the project.
    • Monitor and evaluate the impact of community engagement activities.
    • Prepare regular reports on community interactions and feedback.
    • Collaborate with Community Health Promoters (CHPs) to foster trust and build sustainable community relationships.
    • Conduct desk reviews to inform project activities and ensure alignment with community needs.
    • Advocate for the community’s needs and priorities throughout the project lifecycle.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, or related field.
    • Experience in community engagement and participatory approaches.
    • Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
