    Community Liaison Officer

    AD/8/198/21 

    Job description

    The person will be required to identify volunteer recruitment catchment areas, liaise with peer leaders and CAB leaders on a regular basis leading to high study participant enrollment levels.

    Must be in a position to articulate the research objectives and to work well with different stakeholders. They must be able to work with minimum supervision and be ready to work for long hours.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • Applicants must have at least KCSE Grade C+ or its equivalent.
    • Degree in Community Health or Community Development.
    • Certificate in Human Subjects Protection, Responsible Conduct of Research, Research Ethics Evaluation, Good Clinical Practice and Good Clinical Laboratory Practice.
    • Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation. v) The applicant should have at least five (5) years’ experience in community advocacy/mobilization, of which two (2) years must have been in a research programme, preferably a vaccine related one.
    • An applicant with experience in HIV or COVID–19 Vaccine Study will have an added advantage.

    Terms of appointment

    This a position whose tenure is one (1) year contract renewable based on performance and by mutual consent. The salary is negotiable depending on the level of education and work experience.
