Compliance Officer at African Resort International

As a compliance officer, your roles and responsibilities will include;

• Developing, initiating, maintains and revising policies and procedures for the general operation of the organization and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
• Developing, periodically reviewing and updating the Code of Conduct to ensure relevance in providing guidance to management and employees.
• Collaborating with the other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
• Ensuring that all employees comply with the statutory provisions of the Kenyan law.
• Responding to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures.
• Developing and overseeing a system for uniform handling of cases of violations of the rules
• Ensuring proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized people as appropriate and/or required.
• Working with the Human Resources Department and others as appropriate to develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.
• Monitoring the performance of the Compliance Program
• Providing reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
