Cook at County Government of Tana River

Duties and responsibilities: - 

• Food preparation and production;
• Setting up and directing placement of food;
• Maintaining hygiene by ensuring cleaning of the kitchen and its surroundings;
• Maintaining correct stock levels;
• Detecting and reporting defective equipment;
• Ensuring proper stock rotation;
• Ordering of food stuffs and 
• Any other duty that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements for appointment: -
For appointment to this grade, a person must be in possession of:-

• At least Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D or its equivalent;
• Craft certificate in food and beverage production, sales and service or its equivalent 
• qualification from a recognized institution;

OR

• Attended a formal course lasting not less than two months in food production organized by the Kenya Utalii College or other recognized institution.
