Cook at Tranquil Med Center

Role summary:

• The Cook will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals for patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve meals according to dietary requirements for different patients (including therapeutic diets).
• Ensure food is cooked, stored, and served in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and food storage areas.
• Work closely with nutritionists and clinicians to meet patient dietary needs.
• Monitor food inventory and notify the supervisor for timely reordering.
• Adhere to hospital food preparation policies, including portion control and hygiene standards.
• Support kitchen assistants and supervise meal service as needed.

Requirements

• A Certificate or Diploma in Food Production, Culinary Arts, or related hospitality field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a cook, preferably in a hospital, school, or institutional setting.
• Knowledge of hospital diets and food safety regulations is essential.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be organized, reliable, and able to work under minimal supervision.
