County Solicitor at Machakos County Public Service Board

Pursuant to section 17 of the County Attorney Act, 2020, the County Government of Machakos wishes to recruit a competent and qualified person to fill the position of County Solicitor. The County Solicitor shall, inter alia, be the principal assistant of the County Attorney.

Minimum Requirements And Competencies

• Be a Kenyan citizen;
• Be in possession of a law degree from a University recognized in Kenya; (a Masters' degree will be an added advantage)
• Have at least five years' experience as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
• Must be a holder of a current practicing certificate and be an up-to-date member of The Law Society of Kenya;
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
• Fulfill other duties of the office as may be determined by the County Public Service Board and the Executive

Mandatory Integrity Clearance

• Clearance from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
• Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
• Clearance from Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of National Police
• Clearance from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
• Clearance from former employer where applicable
