Credit Controller at Flare Emergency Response

Here is what you will do:

• Review the company debtor list and contact customers informing them of their overdue bills.
• Advise customers on their payment options and suggesting methods of payment.
• Negotiate effective repayment plans and follow-up with clients on overdue accounts.
• Ensure payments are allocated to the correct accounts once received and that all internal reporting provides an accurate picture of receivables outstanding on an ongoing basis.
• Continuously review and improve credit policies for impairing and writing off bad or uncollectible debts.
• Help develop a loss provisioning framework to ensure the Company is adequately reserving for bad debts.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and work to convert non-members to subscription clients.
• Maintain strong communication and teamwork with Sales teams to ensure issues are appropriately escalated and managed appropriately between finance and account managers.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of work experience in an outbound debt collections environment
• Prior credit risk management experience is a plus
• Proven ability to negotiate and not afraid to ask tough questions
• Experience working with Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Excel
• Highly motivated, adaptable, self-starter who is committed to continuous improvement
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong attention to detail and results-oriented
• Entrepreneurial spirit who is a team player with a can-do attitude
