REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree or Diploma in journalism/media studies or related field
• Considerable experience in journalism and writing news content for digital media
• Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strategic and analytical thinker
• Ability to go the extra mile
• Self-driven individual with a strong desire to constantly learn and adapt
• Work under minimal supervision
• Ability to work remotely (good internet connection and a laptop, minimum Intel Core i3).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitoring trending current affairs, news and stories
• Verify facts and accuracy of all news reports before they are published
• Ensure articles have catchy headlines and appropriate photos or illustrations
• Post articles to Facebook in different formats, including Facebook picture posts with links
• Source ideas for exclusive stories ((including interviews, analysis and feature articles, and explainers)
• Source comments from experts
• Write and publish stories that resonate with our audience
• Strictly follow our in-house guide to ensure articles meet journalistic standards
• Ability to churn out articles in perfect English.
