    Data Analyst

    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst to support our SME programs. The Data Analyst will be responsible for configuring and analyzing enterprise-level data and core SME metrics for program graduates. The Data Analyst will work closely with the Product Operations Manager, M&E team, Senior Data Engineer and Data Visualization Specialist to ensure that data is accurately captured, cleaned, validated, and analyzed to support decision-making and program improvements.This role is critical for data management, including solid processes to capture, clean, validate, and analyze key financial metrics.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement data management processes for capturing, cleaning, validating, and analyzing key financial metrics for SME program graduates.
    • Configure and analyze enterprise-level data to support strategic decision-making and program improvements.
    • Collaborate with the data team to design and build learning analytics and impact dashboards in AMI's data warehouse.
    • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust data quality assurance procedures.
    • Provide technical assistance to program staff on data-related issues, including training and mentoring on data management and analysis.
    • Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, metadata, and data models.
    • Contribute to organizational learning by sharing data analysis best practices, lessons learned, and success stories.

    Requirements

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
    • Experience using Google Sheets.
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using statistical software such as SPSS,STATA,or R.
    • Strong interpersonal and team management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

    • Self-motivated and able to take full ownership of own deliverables.
    • Willing to learn and collaborate with peers and internal stakeholders at AMI.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in statistics, data science, economics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, with demonstrated experience in managing and analyzing large datasets.
    • Experience in data management, including data cleaning, validation, and analysis.
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
    • Experience in the SME sector or in analyzing financial metrics is an added advantage.
