Data Analyst at Somo

The Somo Data Analyst will have oversight of the monitoring and evaluation of Somo, work with other departments to streamline their M&E processes, and will be responsible for analyzing the data collected. The goal is to drive the sustainable growth of Somo by effectively measuring and evaluating data for both current operations and growth into new markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Somo’s Monitoring and Evaluating process for Somo businesses.
• Use Somo’s impact tracking app, DigiKua, to measure Somo’s business performance.
• Analyze data collected to create impact reports for the organization.
• Identify additional areas for Somo to monitor and analyze.
• Work with departmental leads to create M&E frameworks.
• Use Somo’s impact tracking app, DigiKua, to measure Somo’s business performance.
• Create systems that enable Somo to navigate high volumes of data efficiently.

Requirement

• Experience with data tracking and analytics.
• Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages to be used for data set analysis.
• Experienced in Structured Query Language (SQL) and Data Visualization.
• Basic knowledge of Machine Learning and Python for statistical programming.
• Experience working with grant-making institutions and their M&E expectations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
