Data Center Engineer
- Job Type Full Time
- Qualification BA/BSc/HND
- Experience 2 - 5 years
- Location Nairobi
- Job Field ICT / Computer
Responsibilities
- Responsible for deployment of data centre facilities, DCIMs, energy solutions such as UPS, Power Distribution Frames (PDFs,) and Diesel Generators .
- Manage subcontractor and ensure that all implementation work performed is in accordance with established practices.
- Communicate with customers on key topics e.g. Project progress, technical solutions and contractual obligations.
- DC facility troubleshooting and operations.
- First line fault escalation for data centre facility issues.
- Review customer requirements and develop solutions to address them
- Support pre-sales team and account managers on product solutions and customer business development.
- Ensure health and safety for Data centre facility
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Knowledge and Experience in Huawei Energy & Data Centre facility products is an added advantage.
- Previous experience in Huawei projects is highly desirable.
- HCIE/HCNP/HCNA/CCIE/CCNP/CCNA certification is an added advantage.
- 2 to 5 years of technical support background within the ICT industry or telecommunication
