Deputy Commissioner – Regional Coordination at Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)

Purpose of the job:

The Deputy Commissioner – Regional Coordination will be responsible for providing strategic oversight to all revenue collection and administrative activities any of the six Regions.

Key Responsibilities of the job:

1. Liaison and stakeholder engagements with various arms of government, county governments, border management committees and multi-agency task forces.
2. Create synergy across various departments in the Region and facilitate exchange of tax information to enhance revenue collections and service delivery.
3. Monitor and support effective revenue collection initiatives through identified strategies
4. Coordinate Brand Building Initiatives, Media Engagement, and Customer Complaints Resolution in the Region.
5. Support ease of doing business initiatives through review of process and effective deployment of staff in key critical areas to facilitate trade.
6. Manage operational aspects of the division that include the attainment of performance targets, administration and organisation of staff in the Division.

The job holder should possess the following minimum qualifications:

Academic qualification:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, security or related disciplines from a recognized university.
2. Professional qualification: A Post Graduate Diploma in Tax Administration will be an added advantage. 
3. Professional experience: At least ten years work experience, with five being at senior management level.
