Served in the grade of Assistant Director of Gaming or in a comparable & relevant position in the public service for a minimum period of 3 years or
Served as a Chief Gaming Inspector for at least 10 years.
A bachelors' degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Sociology or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
Demonstrated a wide experience in management & administration of Betting Lotteries & Gaming activities.
Thorough knowledge of the Betting Lotteries & Gaming legislations.
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance & results.
Job Description
Co-ordination of County Gaming, betting & lotteries functions, Initiating review & improvements of the Gaming, Betting & Lotteries Regulatory and policy framework.
Advising on policy formulation, implementation, monitoring, review, evaluation and licensing of Betting lotteries and gaming activities, regulation of county lotteries, liaising with local, regional and international gaming regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies on matters pertaining to betting lotteries and gaming.
Curbing criminal/illegal practices in the gaming and betting industry.
Preparing, implementing, monitoring & evaluating county betting & lottery programmes
Coordinating research & development of county betting & lotteries systems & standards.
Ensuring that gaming devices, premises and licenses are in compliance with the, betting lotteries & gaming legislations.
Coordinate the implementation of performance management systems & development of staff.
