For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: i. Served in the grade of Senior Assistant Director, HRD for at least three (3) years OR a minimum period of fifteen (15) years work experience, three (3) of which must have been in a Senior Management position in a comparable and relevant position in the Public or Private Sector.
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management/ Development, Education or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with a Postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management/ Development, Education or other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Certified Human Resource Professional qualification (CHRP) from the Human Resource Management Professional Examination Board (HRMPEB); OR a Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution;
Membership to the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM);
Valid practicing certificate from IHRM or any other recognized professional body;
Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management/ Development, Education, Public Administration or other equivalent qualification from recognized institutions;
Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme from a recognized institution lasting not less than six (6) weeks;
Demonstrated professional competence and administrative capabilities in work performance and results; and
Meet the requirements of chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
