    Deputy Director, Linkages & Partnership

    Qualification

    Must have:

    • PhD in relevant area of specialization from a recognized University.
    • At least 3 years’ of working in project-driven partnerships with local and foreign-based public and private sectors including universities.
    • Proven knowledge, skills and experience on entrepreneurship and innovation promotion, grant proposals writing/fundraising.
    • Skills in communication; capacity to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders; leadership skills; ability to work under minimum supervision; computer literacy.

    OR

    • A Master’s Degree in any relevant discipline from a recognized Institution who:
    • Must be registered for a PhD programme at a recognized University and provide proof of admission.
    • Must have at least 5 years’ experience in project-driven partnerships with local and foreign-based public and private sectors including universities.
    • Must have proven knowledge, skills and experience on entrepreneurship and innovation promotion, grant proposals writing/fundraising.
    • Must have perfect skills in communication; capacity to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders; leadership skills; ability to work under minimum supervision; computer literacy.
    • Must be able to work under minimum supervision and be computer literate.

    Key responsibilities also include

    Reporting to: Director, Linkages, Partnerships and Collaborations

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • In consultation with various process owners, to identify and engage value adding partners that shall support the university mission and vision including partnerships with the MKU Foundation and Graduate Enterprise Academy.
    • To coordinate the engagement of new partners.
    • To follow up on all partnerships and oversee their MKU’s appraisals.
    • To promptly report on all partnerships as per policy.
    • To prepare the partnerships database and keep it updated.
    • To undertake any other tasks that shall be assigned by the Principal, Corporate Services, Communication & Alumni Relations/Director Linkages, and Partnerships & Collaborations on need-to-need basis.
