Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must:

• Be a Kenyan citizen;
• Have served in the grade of Assistant Director, Water, Job Group ‘P’ for a minimum period of three (3) years or in a comparable and relevant position in the Private Sector, for a minimum period of three (3) years;
• Have a Masters’ degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Hydrology or its equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Hydrology or its equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;
• Be registered with a relevant professional body;
• Demonstrate managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance;
• Exhibit a thorough understanding of national goals, policies, objectives and ability to relate them to proper management of environment and natural resource function.
