    Deputy Vice- Chancellor (Academic, Research & Student Affairs)

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide leadership in academic planning, development and implementation of university policies.
    • Promote excellence in teaching, learning, research, innovation and community engagement.
    • Coordinate quality assurance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee student affairs, welfare and support services.
    • Strengthen partnerships with industry, government, development partners and academic institutions.
    • Support resource mobilization and institutional growth initiatives.
    • Enhance digital transformation and innovation within the University.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Vice-Chancellor and the University Council.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • An earned PhD from a recognized university.
    • At least ten (10) years of progressive academic and administrative experience in higher education, with at least five (5) years at a senior management level.
    • A distinguished record in teaching, research, publications and postgraduate supervision.
    • Demonstrated leadership in academic administration, strategic planning and institutional development.
    • Evidence of successful resource mobilization, partnership development and stakeholder engagement.
    • Strong knowledge of higher education policies, governance and quality assurance frameworks.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
