We Are Hiring a Design & Costing Engineering Assistant!!

Job Summary

As a design engineering assistant, you're involved in the initial concept, design, development, and management of projects in a range of sectors such as plant maintenance, mechanical works, and light civil works

To succeed you'll need strong technical knowledge, as well as problem-solving, communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Documenting the design process and presenting progress reports to all relevant stakeholders
2. Provide detailed specifications for proposed engineering solutions including the time and scope involved
3. Come up with 3D engineering drawings
4. Cost Engineering-Develop BOQs and Material schedules for engineering projects
5. Estimate cost limits and budgets for new designs.
6. Developing project plans and Gantt charts
7. Research and draft blueprints, engineering plans, and graphics.
8. Use design software to develop models and drawings of new products or projects
9. Maintain existing engineering records and designs.
10. Assess all engineering prototypes to determine issues or risks.
11. Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and develop steps for their proper execution(methodology)
12. Coordinate with other engineers, management, and the creative department.
13. Assess and mitigate risks and safety hazards in project scoping and execution
14. Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges
15. Ensure updated reports are given on project progress.
16. Ensure on-time scoping and costing.

Qualifications

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering-plant option or any other related engineering diploma
2. CAD Drawing Skills-Solid works, Archi cad or any other
3. 5-7 years of experience in an engineering environment
