    Director – Administration

    Requirements for Appointment

    1. Served in the grade of Deputy Director, Administration for a minimum period of three (3) years;
    2. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution;
    3. Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution;
    4. Diploma in advanced Public Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    5. Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution;
    6. Certificate in computer applications skills from a recognized institution; and
    7. Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Duties and responsibilities

    1. Initiating, interpreting, implementing and reviewing administrative polices, strategies, procedures and programme;
    2. Coordinating, managing and supervising the general administrative functions in the County;
    3. Coordinating Public Service reforms;
    4. Overseeing service delivery in the County;
    5. Overseeing development of programmes and projects to empower the community;
    6. Coordinating and facilitating citizen participation in the development of policies, plans and delivery of services;
    7. Facilitating intra and inter-governmental relations and conflict resolutions;
    8. Overseeing safe custody of County Government assets;
    9. Coordinating and liaising with other directorates and departments in the county; and
    10. Ensuring compliance with national values and principles of good governance.

    Method of Application

    Interested and qualified candidates are requested to make their applications by completing one application on the Kitui County Public Service 2 (KCPS 2) Form.

    The completed KCPS 2 Form, together with certified copies of applicant’s academic/professional certificates, letter of appointment/promotion to their present grade and National Identity Card should reach the office of the Board Secretary, Kitui County Public Service Board, on or before Monday, 13th June, 2022.

    Short listed candidates shall be required to produce both originals and certified copies of their National Identity Card, Academic and Professional certificates and transcripts, letter of appointment/promotion to the current substantive post during interview. In addition, they will be required to ensure that the Head of Department’s recommendation on KCPS 2A Form is forwarded before the interview.
