Disbursement Analyst at Mwananchi Credit Ltd

Role Summary:

• The Disbursement Analyst is responsible for accurate and timely payments as well as overseeing and managing the disbursement process for loans and other financial products for Mwananchi Credit Limited.

Qualifications:

• The incumbent must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Disbursement Analyst handling financial operations in a microfinance or financial service industry.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA are an added advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with financial software (e.g., ERP systems).

Desired Skills:

• Processes - review loan disbursements and other financial transactions in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
• Verify and validate loan documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness before disbursement.
• Monitor and reconcile disbursement accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Record keeping - Maintain detailed and accurate records of all disbursement transactions and prepare reports as needed.
• Collaboration - Team up with other departments, including, Accounts, loan officers and compliance teams, to address any issues or discrepancies related to disbursements.
• Detail-oriented - Identify cost-saving measures and propose recommendations to management
• Organization skills - Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls related to disbursement processes.
• Analytical skills - Critic disbursement data and provide insights to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
• Customer service - Respond to client inquiries related to disbursements and provide exceptio- nal customer service.
