Economic Policy Analyst II - 274 Posts at Public Service Commission Kenya (PSCK)

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Economics and Statistics, Economics and Mathematics, Economics and Finance, Actuarial Science or any other equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities

This is an entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include:-

• Analyzing macroeconomic, revenue, exchequer and expenditure data for development and review of macroeconomic and fiscal policies;
• Evaluating applications for remission of taxes under fiscal incentive schemes;
• Updating databases for the users of the fiscal incentives schemes;
• Evaluating tax exemption requests;
• Monitoring and forecasting revenue and expenditure;
• Monitoring implementation of macroeconomic reforms;
• Preparing monthly budget outturn;
• Maintaining and updating macroeconomic and fiscal database; and
• Monitoring the Government balance sheet of the Central Bank.
