Education Research Assistant at Education Design Unlimited (EDU)

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Research Assistants to join our team for a short term assignment. The Research Assistant will support our research efforts by collecting data and assisting in various stages of research projects. The ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, a passion for research, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct surveys, interviews and Focussed Group Discussions or other data collection activity as instructed by the Company.
• Record accurate and complete data in accordance with the research protocols provided by the company.
• Submit all data collected at the end of each day of data collection to the supervisor or coordinator.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive information obtained during the research.
• Collaborate with the company's research team as necessary to achieve project objectives while handling the company property eg tablets with care
• Attend training sessions, meetings and conduct pilot testing as required by the company

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Previous experience in conducting educational research with a bias in education and socio-emotional learning, proficiency in research methodologies quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis is required
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Flexibility to work at the ASAL areas ie Kakuma and Dadaab.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Should abide by the Child Protection Act of Kenya and the EDU child protection policy to safeguard children from abuse.
• Selected candidates will be required to have a certificate of good conduct.
