Electrician at Botanical Extracts Ltd

We are looking for an Electrical Technician to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure.

DUTIES

• Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Install and inspect circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Connect electrical systems to power lines.
• Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring.
• Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician
2. 1-2 years’ experience as an electrical technician
3. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
4. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.)
5. Ability to read electrical drawings and blueprints
6. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
7. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
8. Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
