Emergency Medical Technician at Emerge Egress Consulting

Role Objective:

• Our client in healthcare seeks an individual who will assist on general transporting the sick, injured or medical supplies., nursing care and follow up of patients accordingly.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect and process the information needed to fulfil medical insurance claims.
• Resolve billing issues in addition to processing routine claims.
• Investigate unpaid claims and resolve discrepancies.
• Propose improvements in the guidelines based on claims and other experiences.
• Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and all other interested parties in claim processing.
• Negotiate necessary changes in claims handling with the relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain records and provide file and data management of losses reported and claims paid.
• Maintain a system to monitoring and managing individual accounts who owe the hospital.
• Sign on board other new medical insurance companies.
• Attend staff meetings as guided by the line manager.
• Keep an updated record and take full responsibility of your department assets and prevent them from theft and damages.
• Willingness to be accountable and take overall responsibility of their department.
• Drive and maintaining critical care ambulance- Ensure that the ambulance and other hospital vehicles are in good condition and ready at all times to transport sick and injured etc.
• Report writing- After every emergency trip fill in report forms indicating the facts concerning 
• Provide first aid- Assist the paramedics in administering first aid.
• Respond to emergencies and as directed.
• Designing effective and workable physical and personnel transportation procedures and processes.
• Carry-out admission and follow-up of patients meaning assessment of their health state evolution, and identification of emergency situation.
• Participate in health education of the patient and their family when necessary.
• Participate in the department-related pharmacy and medical equipment control and maintenance.
• Ensure an appropriate handover, and report any problematic situations and cases that may arise. 
• Fill in all necessary registers and health files, participate in data collection and keep doctors/supervisors informed.
• Detecting the priority acute/emergency cases, carrying out first aid care when necessary and referring them to the doctor.
• Any other duties assigned by the Management.

Job Specifications and Qualifications:

• Registered with the relevant board and have a valid practice license.
• First Aid Certification, BLS, certification or other relevant certification. Redcross is an added advantage.
• Desirable 2 years of previous experience.
• Possession of valid driving license.
