    Emergency Medical Technician - Malindi

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Respond to all ambulance calls in the shortest time possible
    • Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of emergency medical equipment
    • Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury and establish priority for required emergency care
    • Provide pre-hospital care to patients at the incident scene and in the ambulance within the scope of training
    • Monitor the progress of patients in the ambulance and record vital information on the patient care report form
    • Ensure the ambulance has the relevant emergency medical equipment, materials and supplies at all times
    • Ensure proper handing over of patients to health facilities with proper documentation
    • Assist in marketing and publicity of the St John Ambulance Kenya products and services
    • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Certificate in Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certificate
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy working environment
    • Valid Practicing /Operating card
    • Computer Proficiency
    • The ability to work long hours without lowering the quality of care
    • The ability to provide care in stressful situations
    • Strong communication and presentations skills
    • Excellent time keeping skills
    • High level of integrity and professionalism
