Engineer II Irrigation at Baringo County Government

Job Details/Description
Duties and responsibilities;

•  Reporting to director water
•  Implementing irrigation projects;
•  Supervision and administration of staff
•  Survey, design and implement irrigation systems and infrastructures
•  liaise with other stakeholders on water infrastructure development
•  Development and identification, design and BOQ’S for irrigation component for water projects
•  Water projects implementation, supervision and management
•  Monitoring , Evaluation and Reporting of irrigation projects status
•  Administer projects implementation activities and advice on suitable irrigation Applications
•  Increase safe water accessibility through sustainable water systems
•  Build staff capacity on irrigation services activities and management
•  Provide electromechanical services
•  Repair and maintenance of irrigations system
•  Emergency response on drought flood issues
•  Any other lawful duties that may be assigned by supervisor from time to time.

Requirements for the appointment

•  Be a Kenyan Citizen;
•  Have a Bachelor’s Degree in a field of Agricultural Engineering /water ,Soil Mechanization/Farm Power, Structures or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized University;
•  Certificate in Computer Applications.
•  2 years’ experience
