Engineer II Water at Baringo County Government

Job Details/Description
Duties and responsibilities;

•  Reporting to Engineer I water
•  Carry out feasibility studies, planning, survey and designing water supply infrastructures;
•  Carry out research activities in various aspects of water;
•  Production of detailed technical designs and reports for the surveyed works;
•  Production of technical design drawings;
•  Maintaining an awareness of current environmental issues
•  Interpretation of complex water and sewerage works designs;
•  Measurements of work done and Preparation of payment certificates
•  Supervise construction of water works undertaken directly or by contract;
•  Ensure professional standards and undertaking quality control during construction ofwater supply infrastructure
•  Monitor and evaluate of physical and financial progress of development projects and programs.

Requirements for the appointment

•  Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Soil, and Environmental Engineering or;
•  Diploma in Water Engineering from Kenya National Examinations Council or relevant and equivalent qualification from recognizedInstitution;
•  Technical understanding of water infrastructure;
•  Practical knowledge on survey using GPS, Theodolite, Total station/ or Real TimeKinematic;
•  Proficiency in Computer Aided Designs;
•  Ability to plan and prioritize field assignment;
•  Member of Institute of Engineers of Kenya;
•  Certificate in Computer Applications.
