English Teacher (Junior School) at Jaffery Academy

As we continue to expand, We are seeking a motivated and skilled English Teacher to join our Junior School on a maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to supporting student growth in line with the school's ethos.The Academy follows the British National Curriculum where students are engaged in a vibrant, holistic learning environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strong command of the English subject at Junior School level.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons appropriate to the abilities of all students and the syllabus.
• Design and implement effective assessment strategies to track and support student progress.
• Students in developing higher-order thinking and learning skills in line with the school's values and ethos.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Have a minimum of a Bachelor of Education Degree
• At least a minimum of 3 years teaching experience at Junior School level.
• Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Available to start immediately.

• Salary Range: KES 50,000 - 80,000 (based on qualifications and experience). Contract Duration: Maternity cover period - 6 months
