    ENT Surgeon – Rhinology (Anterior Skull Base)

    Job Purpose

    • To provide advanced rhinology and anterior skull base care, including endoscopic surgery, in collaboration with neurosurgery and other specialties.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Diagnose and manage complex rhinologic and anterior skull base diseases including chronic rhinosinusitis and neoplasms.
    • Perform endoscopic sinus and skull base procedures within credentialed scope.
    • Coordinate peri-operative care with neurosurgery, radiology, oncology, and anaesthesia.
    • Establish protocols for image-guided surgery, hemostasis, and CSF leak management.
    • Provide outpatient clinics and inpatient consults including emergency management of complications.
    • Contribute to MDT tumour boards and care planning.
    • Teach and mentor trainees in advanced rhinology.
    • Lead audits, outcomes tracking, and research in rhinology/skull base surgery.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from an institution recognized by KMPDC.
    • MMed in ENT, Head & Neck Surgery/Otorhinolaryngology or equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by KMPDC.
    • Fellowship/sub-specialty training in Rhinology/Anterior Skull Base Surgery recognized by KMPDC.
    • Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
    • Recognition as a specialist/sub-specialist by KMPDC.
    • Retention in the KMPDC register.
    • Valid Practice License from KMPDC.
    • Valid Indemnity Cover.
    • Proficiency in computer applications.
    • Compliance with Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
