Experienced Professional Driver (VIP) at Delicto Holdings

JOB PURPOSE:

We're seeking a dedicated Professional Driver to work within a trusted public service environment that values reliability, integrity, and high-quality service. You will serve as the designated, dedicated driver responsible for safe, punctual and professional transportation of the VIP/Employer.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely transport the employer (and authorized passengers) to appointments, meetings and destinations with courtesy and professionalism.
• Plan and optimize travel routes, adapting to traffic, weather, security, or schedule changes.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, tyres, brakes etc), clean vehicle interior/exterior, coordinate servicing/repairs.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logs: mileage, fuel consumption, servicing records, trips undertaken.
• Adhere strictly to Kenyan traffic laws, regulations and organizational policies.
• Maintain confidentiality, discretion and professional presentation at all times.
• Assist with errands or related tasks as required to support the schedule.
• Be flexible in working hours — early mornings, late evenings or weekends will be required.
• Familiarity with Kenyan routes, navigation tools (GPS/maps/mobile apps) and maintain excellent punctuality.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Age between 35 and 50 years
• Valid Kenyan driving license and clean driving record.
• Minimum 10 years’ professional driving experience — preferably inclusive of ministry, public institution or executive transport role.
• Certificate of Good Conduct (last 6 months) and clear criminal record.
• KCSE minimum; further driving/vehicle-maintenance training is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills: punctuality, integrity, discretion, professional grooming and demeanour.
• Strong navigation and route-planning capability, good knowledge of Nairobi and surrounding counties.
• Basic vehicle maintenance awareness (able to spot faults, coordinate servicing).
• Willing and able to work flexible hours to meet schedule demands.

DESIRABLE (BONUS) QUALIFICATIONS:

• Defensive driving certificate or equivalent training.
• Experience in a ministry, government or public institution setting.
• Previous experience supporting senior executives or VIPs.
• Experience maintaining logbooks/fuel/mileage tracking and coordinating vehicle servicing.
