Job Purpose
The Extractives Project Officer will be a core member of the FAIR for ALL Programme under the Natural Resources Programme; which seeks to support and strengthen CSOs to play their diverse roles; as educators, mobilizers, creators and watchdogs to make trade and value chains FAIR for ALL. The key areas of focus for this role will be to, implement specific project activities through effective project management approaches; supporting partners to develop organisational capacity building to deliver high quality extractives programme; and to establish and maintain linkages with other thematic and programmatic areas, as well as with relevant state and non-state actors particularly at County level. The Extractives Project Officer will be required to support in the implementation of campaigning and influencing strategies, undertaking of research, monitoring, evaluation and learning as well as ensuring the programme takes into account gender equity, accountability and active citizenship.
The Project Officer will also contribute to resource mobilization for co-financing of the projects to ensure that the programme is fully resourced.
