Assist in obtaining required authorizations from regulatory bodies, such as the Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Environment, and in conducting environmental and social impact assessments.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including cost-benefit analysis, financial modeling, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Net Present Value (NPV) assessments to evaluate the economic feasibility of projects.
Coordinate and manage external experts when required.
Lead feasibility analyses for hydropower projects, incorporating topographic, geological, hydrological, hydraulic, civil design, and electromechanical aspects.
Lead the development of detailed plans for hydropower projects, considering water flow, turbine efficiency, power generation capacity, and design optimization.
Oversee the successful evaluation of potential hydropower sites, including conducting topographic mapping, flow measurements, power calculations, and cost estimates to assess site quality and suitability for development.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and project cash flows, referencing the bill of quantities and cost estimates for civil works and hydro-mechanical installations.
Work closely with other specialists, including geologists, environmental scientists, and engineers, to ensure comprehensive, safe, and efficient project designs.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in feasibility studies and project planning for hydropower or large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on site evaluation, design, and financial analysis
Hands on experience in topographic, geological, hydrological, and civil design aspects of hydropower or related projects.
