Finance Analyst at M-KOPA Solar

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Produce monthly finance packs which are relevant and reflect KPIs that drive business performance.
• Understand and interpret financial models to help the business understand the impact of financial decisions.
• Deliver deep financial analysis in specific areas of the business and specific cost types.
• Be the “go-to” person for senior management in relation to finance matters.
• Lead the annual budgeting process end to end for your teams and challenge assumptions made during the budgeting cycle.
• Approve purchase requests.
• Provide understanding and insight to the Finance team as part of the monthly cost center reviews, to explain any variances against the budget and prior months.

Job Requirements.

• Bachelors’ degree and Accountancy qualification e.g. CPA
• Proven work experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role.
• Cancommunicateclearlywithcolleagueswhowork,speakandthinkdifferently.
• Are excited to deeply understand the financial workings of the business.
• Have the ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.
• Are not afraid to ask difficult questions to senior managers.
• Demonstrate solid analytical and decision-making skills
• Have in-depth understanding of bookkeeping, balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis and forecasting models
• Are proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and accounting software
• Highlight areas for improvement.

The finance team comprises great individuals who all come together as a team to provide first class support to our colleagues. Whilst we are all physically in different offices, and currently working remotely due to the pandemic, we pride ourselves on being one global finance team, able to call on the skills and expertise of colleagues across all of our markets.
