Finance Intern at ABC EXPAT

Responsibilities

1. Provide support in preparation of financial reports in the accounting and finance system as per the instructions of the supervisor.
2. Filing of statutory returns
3. Recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
4. Excellent working knowledge of quick books
5. Stay up to date with current tax legislation and ensure that the Company meets its tax reporting and payment requirements as set out by KRA
6. Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
7. Assist in performing monthly bank reconciliation
8. Assist in Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
9. Support month-end and year-end close process
10. Maintain adequate filing system of all financial documents & data entry
11. Any other role assigned from time to time by your reporting head

Profile

1. Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA-2) certificate is preferred
3. Knowledge of accounting procedures & familiarity with financial accounting statements
4. Practical working knowledge of QuickBooks will be an added advantage
5. Advanced MS Excel skills
6. Accuracy and strong attention to detail
7. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
