Financial Controller at Export Parts Store

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to manage all aspects of financial management, including accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. The Financial Controller will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our export parts store operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

   • Develop annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with senior management.
   • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
   • Monitor and report on key financial metrics and KPIs.

2. Accounting and Reporting:

   • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
   • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
   • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.

3. Internal Controls and Compliance:

   • Establish and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
   • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate risks.
   • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and regulatory inspections.

4. Cash Flow Management:

   • Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic investments.
   • Monitor banking activities and maintain relationships with financial institutions.
   • Implement cash management strategies to optimize working capital and minimize financial risks.

5. Financial Systems and Technology:

   • Evaluate and implement financial systems and technology solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
   • Provide training and support to finance team members on financial tools and software.

6. Team Leadership and Development:

   • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
   • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Proven 5 years and above  experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in the automotive industry or export-oriented business.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
