Financial Controller at Trident Group of Companies Kenya

Trident Group of Companies is seeking a high-caliber, meticulous and seasoned Financial Controller to take executive ownership of accounting operations, statutory compliance, internal controls and group financial reporting. As the operational anchor of the finance division, you will work closely with executive management and business unit heads to keep fiscal rigor and financial governance consistent across all group entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing across group entities.
• Prepare group consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and statutory requirements.
• Design, implement and monitor internal controls that safeguard assets and prevent leakage.
• Supervise timely filing of Corporate Income Tax, VAT, WHT/ WHVAT and payroll statutory deductions.
• Coordinate internal and external statutory audits and resolve audit queries.
• Direct, mentor and build capacity across the accounting team

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Active professional certification: CPA(K), ACCA, CA or equivalent.
• Good standing with ICPAK or the relevant national accountancy regulatory board.
• 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3-4 years in a senior leadership role (e.g. Financial
• Controller, Finance Manager).
• Demonstrated experience in a multi-entity or manufacturing/ commercial group setup.
