Job Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in fire science, fire engineering, public administration, Disaster Management, Emergency Management, Occupational Health, and safety disciplines, or its recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized institute
• Certificate of Fire Safety and Rescue.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Served satisfactorily as a Fire Station Officer for at least two (2) years.
• Shown merit and ability in work performance and results.

Job Description

• Direct fire crews in executing fire suppression strategies and ensuring the safety of all personnel involved.
• Coordinate and perform rescue operations during fires, accidents, and other emergencies, such as vehicle extractions and medical emergencies.
• Respond promptly to all emergency calls, ensuring that all equipment and personnel are ready for immediate deployment.
• Provide advice and recommendations on fire safety systems, including alarms, sprinklers, and evacuation plans.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment, including fire engines, hoses, ladders, breathing apparatus, and personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any equipment malfunctions or deficiencies to supervisors
• Complete detailed reports of fire incidents, including the nature of the fire, actions taken, resources used, and any casualties or injuries.
• Assist in the development and delivery of fire safety programs to local businesses, schools, and public events.
