Bachelor's degree in fire science, fire engineering, public administration, Disaster Management, Emergency Management, Occupational Health, and safety disciplines, or its recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized institute
Certificate of Fire Safety and Rescue.
First Aid Certificate.
Served satisfactorily as a Fire Station Officer for at least two (2) years.
Shown merit and ability in work performance and results.
Job Description
Direct fire crews in executing fire suppression strategies and ensuring the safety of all personnel involved.
Coordinate and perform rescue operations during fires, accidents, and other emergencies, such as vehicle extractions and medical emergencies.
Respond promptly to all emergency calls, ensuring that all equipment and personnel are ready for immediate deployment.
Provide advice and recommendations on fire safety systems, including alarms, sprinklers, and evacuation plans.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment, including fire engines, hoses, ladders, breathing apparatus, and personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any equipment malfunctions or deficiencies to supervisors
Complete detailed reports of fire incidents, including the nature of the fire, actions taken, resources used, and any casualties or injuries.
Assist in the development and delivery of fire safety programs to local businesses, schools, and public events.
