    Fraud Operations Associate

    About The Role

    Apollo Agriculture is seeking a Fraud Operations Associate to be the point person for all anti-fraud activities in the Repayments and Collections team. As a Fraud Operations Associate, you will be the key contact person for Apollo Agriculture’s external fraud investigators. You will collaborate with Apollo’s external investigators and the Repayments and Collections team to identify, anticipate and mitigate fraudulent activity. Additionally, you will also work closely with an internal team in monitoring and checking our fraud flagging systems, to identify and mitigate fraud cases.

    Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

    • Research, analyze and provide insightful advice on fraudulent activity involving farmers, agro-dealers and field agents
    • Create actionable reports detailing fraud activity and related mitigation measures
    • Investigate potential fraudulent accounts and flag them on Apollo Agriculture’s fraud flagging system
    • Perform data and operational analysis to identify fraud
    • Use insights gathered from data to flag high-risk regions, customers and agents
    • Collaborate with contracted investigators and respond to attempted and actual fraud incidents
    • Assist management teams with fraud reviews as required

    You

    • Have a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Criminology or a related field
    • Have 2-3 years working experience
    • Are a hands-on problem solver and forward thinker with an eye for detail
    • Are an excellent communicator and adept at report writing
    • Have strong data analysis skills and know your way around Excel
    • Can collect field insights, analyze them and communicate findings in an actionable way
    • Have a solid understanding of legal protocols at the grassroots level
    • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) qualification is an added advantage
